Delivered shopping if you are self-isolating

Several people have been in touch and given me their phone numbers. These public-spirited people are prepared to phone people who may be self-isolating and would like a friendly call, they are also prepared to help with tasks such as shopping or collecting prescriptions. Please email me (with your phone number) at vernonbarbara@gmail.com if you would like this help.

I learnt today that Sparshotts (based in Bricket Wood) have a next day delivery service in the St Albans area. sparshotts.co.uk/cart/. I believe it is almost impossible now to order from the mainline supermarkets without several weeks wait and I think this could be a lifeline. Orders over £20 are free.

One can order a small cart or a family cart or make ones own choices. But the best bit is they also sell dairy products (milk, cheeses etc) and bread, plus other non-perishable items eg tins of coconut milk and lentils. I have just placed my first order and propose to continue using them for the foreseeable future.

Please stay well! Best wishes Barbara
