Here’s a list of everything you need to know about who’s who at the Jubilee. Note not every vendor/seller accepts credit cards, so plan on bringing cash for fairground rides, cakes, etc.

Community Organisations

That’s us, the group behind the celebration! Pick up your picnics at our stand (order before 31 May), buy tickets to the games and rides, and buy chances on our Tombola, with exciting prizes from local businesses, donors and more. Cash only!

Park Street Neighbourhood Watch (4 on the map)

Park Street Neighbourhood Watch (PSNW) will be highlighting its new Handy-to-Keep Leaflet. This gives opportunities to link up to its OWL messaging service either by e-mail or the new App. The leaflet also contains useful crime prevention advice and contact details for reporting crimes of varying degree.

New on-the-day and existing members will be eligible to enter our FREE draw to win £50 – the draw to take place at 3.50pm. There will be some freebies on the stand plus crime prevention literature. Do come and chat with us and try to win that prize!

One of our local schools will be at the event.

St Stephens Gardening Club (2 on the map)

St Stephens Gardening Club (SSGC) will be selling plants, gardening supplies (fertilisers etc) and bird food to their gazebo. This is where the Best Posy competition happens, bring your posy to the gazebo for display. Drop in to find out more about the society, and join yourself!

Vintage Fairgound Rides and Games

Buy your tickets at PSRA’s stand (1 on the map), £2 per attraction, cash only!

We’ll have a children’s carousel, bouncy castle, all ages teacups, Coconut Shy, Ball in a Bucket, Hook a Duck, and High Stryker.

St Albans Marquetry Society (9 on the map)

The local group will display some of their creations, and provide information on how to join and learn a fascinating new skill.

London Gliding Club (13 on the map)

Simon and Adam are the Paper Airplane competition judges, and they’ll also be exhibiting a glider.

Phil Sherman – Booster Cushion Theatre

Booster Cushion Theatre is presenting Old McDonald and the 3 Pigs Plus… in the theatre on the rec. There is a Jubilee Queen section where a child will be crowned and will be wished a Happy Jubilee on behalf of the Queen.

‘Old McDonald and the Three Pigs Plus…’ weaves the well known story of the Three Pigs with the easy to learn rhyme Old McDonald Had A Farm. Featuring a 5m wide book with 2m pop ups, bright colourful pages and lots of silly animal props.

The Three Pigs are fed up with singing “Eee aye eee aye oh!” every day and bravely decide to move away from Old McDonald’s farm. Join the kind farmer and all of their animal friends in helping the little pigs build homes of their own, but beware, the big bad Wolf is on the prowl. Can you help save the day and stop the wolf blowing all the pigs’ hard work away?

Virago Star Owners Club Vintage Motorbike Display

The C13 Road Runners are a Branch of the Virago Star Owners Club covering North London and Hertfordshire and will ride up on vintage cycles.

These must be ordered and paid for in advance to PSRA.

Charcoal BBQ from Simon Rapkin (14 on the map)

Be sure and try something from British BBQ Battle Winner Simon Rapkin. Proceeds of BBQ go to helping the homeless.

Simon will be grilling the following at £5 per serving:

  • Smokey, chargrilled Jerk Chicken with red cabbage slaw and sweet onion with Jerk Sauce
  • Gourmet Cali ‘smash’ burger with American cheese, sweet onion, pickle, in a dark toasted bun with ketchup and American sweet mustard
  • Gourmet Veggie/Vegan Cali burger, with American cheese (optional) sweet onion, pickle, relishes and served in a toasted bun
  • And other specials!

Boujie Sweet Boutique (5 on the map)

On the day Hannah will be selling jubilee sweets cones / Old fashioned glasses filled with sweets/ glass jars with straws filled with sweets and pick a mix.

Elsie’s Ices: Vintage Ice Cream Van (17 on the map)

Elsie is a beautiful Vintage Ice cream van and she is serving only the finest Gelato Italian style ice cream, freshly made to order by Mario of MARIOS ice cream shop in Berkhamsted.

Cakes from Home Sweet and Savoury Home (15 on the map)

For her Platinum Jubilee Gala stall Joanna will be making some of her favourite cakes. There’ll be a cake for chocolate lovers, gin drinkers, traditionalists, try-anything types and those ‘oh no, I shouldn’t’ types. What better way to celebrate this once in a life time occasion than with a piece of gorgeous cake!

Lucy’s Candy Shop (12 on the map)

Lucy will be selling candy floss, cookies and brownies to suit every taste.

Park Street Sports & Social Club

Licensed bar of a full range of beverages and non-alcoholic drinks will be available on the day, including Pimm’s Cup!

Really Awesome Coffee St Albans (16 on the map)

A range of hot beverages and sweets will be available for your picnic from the coffee van.

Annabel and Anjum will paint your face to your specifications, from £3-5 depending on complexity.

Mrs M Vintage

Spreading the joy of vintage clothes and accessories. Mrs M will have kitchenalia, homeware, linens, jigsaws, books and games from the 50s, 60s and 70s era. She has wood, ceramics, pyrex, stainless steel and glassware. She’ll also have a selection of girly stuff like 50s handbags, tights, scarves, padded hangers and costume jewellery etc. And also some plants in terracotta pots.

Off the Wall Antiques Off The Wall Antiques is based in the picturesque old town in Hemel Hempstead. We have an eclectic mix of antiques and other cool stuff.
