PSRA are pleased that we could support over 23 families and some older residents during the past 15 months. Thanks to your generosity £1400 was raised via Justgiving and many generous individuals regularly donated cash to our funds  and food to our box at Raj’s, Twinsco. We have spent over £4000 through the course of the pandemic.

In addition to your support, we applied for and received a grant from HCC and donations of supplies from St Albans Foodbank and The Trussell Trust. We’re grateful for the weekly donations of fresh bread from Krzysztof Kaczowka of Wenzel’s The Bakers, and fresh food from Sopwell Community Trust, in addition to vital care products from The Hygiene Bank.

It’s now time for us to wind down the campaign since many of the families in need have returned to work due to the lessening of restrictions. In the future we’ll refer families who still require some assistance to The Trussell Trust and The Vineyard once our funds are used.

Once again, thank you to everyone in the community and in our own committee who contributed cash, online payments, donations of food and time. We couldn’t have done it without the whole community banding together!
