Remembrance Sunday 2021, a Recap

We were unable to honour the fallen in 2020 with a full Village service, but on Sunday 14 November at approximately 2.45pm, St Stephens Parish Council did so in a service for the whole Parish.

As a relative newcomer to the Village (2016), I’d never attended prior to Sunday, much less participated in such an august event, but participate I did, after volunteering to lay an actual wreath, alongside Linda and Raj, chairmen of fellow Residents Associations Bricket Wood and Chiswell Green. Luckily President Dee Youngs was also on hand to show me the ropes, which was much appreciated. (She also took great photos and videos for posterity.)

Here’s the programme of the service for posterity, along with some memories shared by residents. Special thanks to everyone who worked so hard on this event, organised splendidly by The Parish.
