2020’s been a challenging year, so naturally something like our traditional Christmas lights Switch-On was put to the test due to the pandemic and Tier 2 restrictions.
Still, we managed to light the parade of shops on a very rainy first Thursday of December, with the help of Jon and Dennis who braved the torrential rain to ensure the lights were good to go in the soaking rain; Jayden and Lavina from Park Street School who switched them on; their mum Babs, and Christine, Dee, Joy, Lucille and Pam of PSRA’s Committee. The hardy group enjoyed Christmas cocoa and mince pies from a safe distance after the important task was completed.
Special thanks to Lorraine of PSRA who made lots of the arrangements, but was unable to attend.
Below, scenes from earlier celebrations.
